The second woman inside a car that drove into the chilly waters of Lake Talquin Sunday has died.

Christen Johnson, 56, died overnight in the hospital where she was being treated since the crash at Coe Landing at about 6 p.m., according to Leon County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Dave Teems. Lindsay Beagles, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A GoFundMe page helping to raise money for the family, said Beagles was Johnson's daughter.

The page, which raised almost $4,000 by Wednesday afternoon, says the family is reeling from such a tragic loss.

"She has lost a major portion of her family and her heart in one tragic moment," the page said, referring to Beagles' sister. "We as a family are all devastated beyond imagination."

A stop sign is located about 200 yards from the water of Lake Talquin at the entrance to Coe Landing Campground. One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a vehicle was located in the water at Coe Landing Sunday night, Dec. 8, 2019.

LCSO Investigators are still working to piece together what led up to the car driving off a boat ramp into the water.

The site is the same place where three people drowned and one person was rescued in 2016 after their car accidentally drove off the boat landing. That incident prompted county commissioners to develop more clear "dead end" and "road ends in water" signage, speed bumps, lights and fencing at the county's 25 boat landings.
